TeachingBooks

We are pleased to introduce you to TeachingBooks! TeachingBooks is a dynamic PreK-12 reading and library service that strives to deepen everyone's connections to the books they are reading. With hundreds of thousands of engaging video, audio, and online resources, TeachingBooks brings to life the books that are enjoyed in the Sora Library. As such, TeachingBooks is not your library; rather, it houses the many supplemental resources that give readers insights and opportunities that deepen their understanding and connections with the books that are being read. Some of the tools found in TeachingBooks include:

Read-Alike reader’s advisory tools
Video book trailers
Meet-the-Author Movies and Recordings
Book-related games (including the Author Name Game, word searches, concentration, and jigsaw puzzles)
Instructional support and homework help for specific titles that students are reading, like vocabulary lists, book guides, and activities.

TeachingBooks is graciously funded by UEN and is free to use for any Utah student or educator! It is part of the Utah Online School Library as well as in an Extra on Sora's Explore tab (after logging into Sora). Directly access TeachingBooks at Teachingbooks.net/Utah and log in with your work email, Google, Clever, or ClassLink. If getting to TeachingBooks from Sora, no additional login is required!
